Enterprise Engineering – manufacturing high quality, precision engineering parts for over 40 years : manufacturing components for the petrol tanker industry, electronics industry, yachting industry and glass furniture fittings amongst others. The products include aluminum, aluminum bronze, stainless steel and engineering plastic components.
ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING was founded in 1978 by Werner Erne and was situated in Voortrekker Road, Maitland. Two additional directors, Max Frei and Sepp Hunkeler, joined the company and in 1984 the company moved to 10 Dorsetshire Street, in Paarden Eiland. Sepp Hunkeler bought out his partners during 1987 and moved premises to 15 Carlisle Street, Paarden Eiland shortly afterwards. In June 1989 the company was sold to Liedtke Technik (Pty) Ltd t/a Enterprise Engineering with J. Liedtke and S. Liedtke as shareholders and directors. The company aquired its own premises at the previous address, 10 Dorsetshire Street in Paarden Eiland, and moved back in June 1998.

At
present ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING is employing one further artisan and
three CNC supervisors and fifteen operators on the shop floor. All
operators have attended a basic introduction course in measurement
and quality control presented by the Peninsula Technicon.
ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING is accredited by the MEIETB to do apprentice training and is a founder member of the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

ENGINEERING has been involved in the Glass Bonding industry since
1998 and has been actively doing research and development
aswell as designs for various projects.
The projects include
